Exhibitions

British Music Experience

The British Music Experience (BME) is a completely immersive, interactive exhibition, combining cutting edge audio-visual technology with some of the most coveted music memorabilia of all time and the only exhibition where you can select your favourite content and media recordings to keep.

You can trace historic, era defining moments and trends through 60 years of music history, learn about British music’s influence on art, fashion and politics, feel the thrill of being in the crowd at a legendary gig, flick through virtual record collections, eavesdrop on fantasy dinner parties and search across a giant interactive music locations map of Great Britain.

There are infamous, iconic pieces of British music memorabilia featured including David Bowie’s Ashes to Ashes clown suit and Ziggy Stardust costume, Noel Gallagher’s Union Jack guitar, Roger Daltrey’s Woodstock outfit and a vintage Amy Winehouse dress.

Not only that, you can develop your skills on guitar, bass, drums and in the vocal booth at the Gibson Interactive Studio and even your dance moves in Dance the Decades.

Gunther von Hagens' Body Worlds

Once in a while there comes an exhibition that has the power to change the way we see ourselves. In BODY WORLDS, scientist, Gunther von Hagens and physician, Angelina Whalley make the study of the human body, once exclusive to the medical community, accessible to everyone.

Dr. von Hagens groundbreaking science of Plastination, the polymer preservation of anatomical specimens, allows human bodies to be presented in dramatic, aesthetic displays. This is a show not to be missed!

Given that the catering in most British music venues is limited to warm beer, limp hotdogs and two varieties of peanuts (if you're lucky), you'll be knocked sideways at the sheer availability and choice on offer at The O2 arena. The world is your oyster... or indeed your chicken Caesar Salad or your rib-eye steak or your Thai green curry or your flame grilled burger or your sushi bento box or your seared tuna or... you get the picture. Cinema

When we say the O2 Arena, 11 screen multiplex cinema is pretty magnificent we aren't exaggerating. The giant main auditorium seats up to 770 movie fans and has the biggest screen in London. It is here that The O2 arena will be rolling out the red carpet and welcoming Tinseltown's most beautiful for blockbuster premieres and other celebrity events.

indigO2

indigO2 is the hidden gem within The O2 arena, the smaller entertainment venue next to the arena under The O2 arena roof. With a flexible capacity of 2,400, indigO2 is the perfect venue for any live music, comedy, club night, TV recording or corporate event.

Since opening its doors on 2 July 2007 with a stunning performance from Jools Holland, indigO2 has witnessed show-stopping sets from the legendary Prince after-show parties, The Eagles album launch, The Who and Chaka Khan to today's chart-toppers, Ne-Yo, Usher, Estelle, T-Pain and Busta Rhymes to name a few.

Furthermore, indigO2 has played host to a number of exclusive music events, from the Shockwaves NME Awards 2008 to the ITV2 Live at indigO2 Series, which saw performances from such illustrious artists as Paul Weller, N*E*R*D, The Fratellis and The Feeling. Heading further into TV land, the X-Factor filmed their exclusive 'Boot-Camp' episodes at indigO2, with over 200 contestants performing under the watchful eyes of the X-Factor judges.
